version 1.0

An easy to use program that merges a graphic into another graphic to create a mark of selected transparency. It is designed to be used in conjunction with other graphic software using a global hotkey. It has, deliberately, limited functionality as a stand alone utility. It is WYSIWYG and the watermark can be easily selected, moved, resized and rotated with options for transparency and positioning.

The global hotkey can be selected and registered using the options window. Once options have been set, the program can then be iconized. Using the hotkey when in another graphics program, will copy the open graphic to watermarkLITE where it will be marked in accordance with the selected options, then copied back to the original program.

There is a popup menu and an options window. The popup menu contains the items required to load, save and manipulate the watermark. The options window has the items required to merge the watermark. There is an option to save watermarks for later use (*.wmk file) and the current watermark will be saved on exit and reloaded when next started.

The options window settings can also be saved for later use. If you check 'Save on close', the current settings will be saved on closing and loaded when next opened.

watermarkLITE was designed primarily to provide a simple watermarking option for programs where that option doesn't exist or is cumbersome. My general graphic program of choice is Irfanview that can save to many formats. Automating watermarkLITE means simply using the hotkey in Irfanview then using it to save the watermarked file. As far as I know, it will work equally as well with any graphic program with copy/paste options using the standard copy/paste keys (CTRL+C or V).
